The Queen, Prince Charles, Kate and William share birthday greetings for Harry and Meghan’s son who they’ve not been able to see for 18 months. Royal Family led social media well-wishes with an Instagram post.
Prince Harry and Meghan’s son Archie celebrates his second birthday
The Queen, Prince Charles and Prince William and Kate Middleton have all sent well-wishes to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s son Archie on his second birthday.
The official Royal Family Instagram account led the birthday greetings this morning with a photo of Harry and Meghan introducing their son to the world at Windsor Castle in May 2019.
The Royal Family Instagram account, which is managed by the Queen’s staff, shared the message: ‘Wishing Archie Mountbatten-Windsor a very happy 2nd birthday today’.
Prince Charles and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge followed suit with photographs taken at Archie’s Christening in July 2019.
Prince Charles‘ more informal message reads: ‘Happy birthday to Archie, who turns two today’. The accompanying black and white photograph shows Harry gazing down at Archie in his Christening robes while proud grandfather Prince Charles looks on, smiling.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge opted for a larger family photograph taken at Archie’s Christening, featuring Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland as well as Princess Diana’s sisters Lady Jane Fellowes and Lady Sarah McCorquodale.
The day will be a particularly poignant as the Royal Family have not seen Archie in 18 months. The toddler, who is seventh-in-line to the throne, was last in the UK in the autumn of 2019, before the Sussexes left to spend Christmas in Canada.
